Strong, defensible assessment is at the heart of every high-performing RTO. At Raspberry Training, we help providers improve the quality, compliance and consistency of their assessment tools, practices and outcomes — all aligned to the Standards for RTOs 2025.
Validation Services
These validation services refer to the requirements under Standard 1.5. We offer a range of validation services to suit your needs:
- Independent validation of TAE products — We are able to independently validate TAE training products up to Diploma level.
- Standard validation services — We can facilitate or lead validation sessions for any training product. Where we lead validation, the RTO must provide (or authorise us to source) qualified industry participants who:
- Hold relevant vocational competencies
- Understand current industry practices related to the training product
- Validation reporting — When we conduct, facilitate, or lead validations, we document validation outcomes in a clear, written report with suggested actions and compliance commentary.
- Validation coordination — We can also coordinate the validation process for you, including identifying and engaging industry participants.
Pricing:
Validation services are billed based on the scope of work and level of input required.
- Hourly rate: $135 + GST
- Daily rate (7.5 hours): $1,000 + GST
Validation can also be incorporated into a retainer arrangement for flexible, ongoing support.

Pre-Use Assessment Tool Reviews
Pre-use reviews help ensure your assessment tools meet unit and compliance requirements before they are implemented. This is a key part of maintaining self-assurance under Standard 1.3 of the 2025 Standards.
We offer set pricing based on the level and complexity of the assessment tool:
- Certificate II–III level units — $400 + GST per tool
- Certificate IV–Diploma level units — $500 + GST per tool
Alternatively, pre-use reviews may be conducted on a daily rate or as part of a retainer arrangement.
RPL Tools and Process Reviews
ASQA has identified Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as a high-risk area — often due to unclear instructions, poor-quality evidence requirements, or missing system-level documentation.
We review RPL kits and processes for clarity, alignment, and defensibility. Pricing depends on the extent of the tools and documentation provided:
- Typical range: $600–$1,200 + GST
Our review includes written feedback and suggested improvements. We also offer follow-up support to assist with implementation.
Delivery Approach
Most assessment and validation services are delivered remotely to maximise flexibility and minimise costs for your RTO. Where preferred or necessary, services can be delivered at your premises or another nominated venue — please note that travel charges may apply
