The Standards for RTOs 2025 commenced on 1 July 2025, bringing a renewed focus on outcomes, quality systems, and continuous improvement. Now is the time for RTOs to assess how well their current practices align with these new requirements.
Our Internal Review service helps you do just that by providing a structured, evidence-based audit that highlights strengths, identifies risks, and supports ongoing compliance. While CEOs are required to declare compliance annually, our goal is to help you get there with confidence through a practical, supportive, and constructive review.
Our Internal Review service is a comprehensive 3.5-day audit designed to help RTOs evaluate compliance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement under the 2025 Standards. It’s ideal for providers seeking independent insight into the quality and consistency of their delivery and assessment systems.
Internal Audit to check your readiness for SRTO 2025
This structured audit is designed to assess your RTO’s readiness for the Standards for RTOs 2025 (SRTO 2025). It provides a comprehensive review of compliance systems, training delivery, assessment practices, and operational governance — all aligned with the latest requirements.
It is ideal for providers seeking independent insight into the quality and consistency of their delivery and assessment systems, and to support self-assurance under the new standards. What the Internal Review Covers
We review your RTO’s operations across both system and delivery levels. The audit includes:
- Review of 2 qualifications, including a sample of units from each
- Analysis of training and assessment strategies, training materials, session plans, and facilities/resources
- Review of assessment tools (including structure, instructions, and evidence requirements)
- Examination of relevant policies, procedures, and system documents
- Validation systems and practices, including planning, facilitation and records
- Trainer and assessor credentials, professional development, industry currency and supervision arrangements
- Student support systems, including wellbeing, diversity, and reasonable adjustment practices
- Governance and accountability, including leadership responsibilities, fit and proper person requirements, and communication of compliance obligations to staff
This is not a box-ticking exercise — we provide meaningful insights and recommendations that strengthen quality, support self-assurance, and help ensure ongoing compliance with the Standards.
How It Works
Pre-Review
- We begin with a planning discussion to understand your RTO’s context, confirm the scope of the audit, and agree on the qualifications and units to be reviewed
- A detailed audit plan and evidence request list is provided to guide preparation
Day 1–4 (3.5 days)
- We conduct a structured desktop audit of your submitted materials
- Review evidence for two qualifications, covering both system and unit-level compliance
- Identify non-compliances, areas for improvement, and examples of good practice
Post-Audit
- We prepare a written audit report and then schedule a follow-up meeting to walk through the findings, clarify any points, and discuss priorities for action or further support. The report includes:
- Summary of findings
- Compliance risks and issues
- Suggestions for improvement
- Recommendations for follow-up action
